Jessica Saunders

Jessica Saunders has been working for Fauquier County Fire and Rescue for twelve years. She attended Virginia Military Institute where she completed core, psychology and leadership classes and finished her BA in psychology from George Mason University. In her years after college, she worked with the GMU undergrad psychology department involved in counseling internships and volunteer mental health organizations. She also volunteered at Camp Lejeune NC with veterans connected with the
Wounded Warrior Program. Saunders spoke at the PRIMA mental health webinar advising other neighboring counties on how to build and facilitate a peer support program. She was also instrumental in getting the Fauquier County Peer Support Program the certification to teach the mental health component of both Fire 1 and Fire 2 classes. She is certified as a Peer Support Specialist and possesses a train the trainer certification in Mental Health First Aid. She aided in the founding of Fauquier County’s first ever Peer Support Program in 2015. She continues to have a passion for mental health and brings
her background, schooling, and expertise to Fauquier. She is proud of the Peer Support Program and feels the team has provided and invaluable service to those in need.
Kevin Landman

Kevin Landman is a 45-year-old father of two. He has a 16-year-old daughter named Alyssa and an 14-year-old son named Jake. Somehow, he scored his beautiful wife Jessie. They have been married for 16 years. He enjoys doing anything outdoors like hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoys fitness and tries to keep in shape.
He has been in the fire service for 17 years and 15 of them have been as a career fireman. Kevin started volunteering in Mount Jackson and got hired by Winchester Fire and Rescue in 2009. He was picked up by Fauquier County in 2018. Kevin has seen and learned a lot throughout his career and understands how this job can affect us. Kevin joined the peer fitness program so that his brothers and sisters would have someone who gets it to come to during tough times.

Andrew Hulvey has been working for Fauquier County Fire and Rescue for six years. He attended the University of Memphis where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, helped teach pre-school and worked as assistant camp director at the Y. He moved to Virginia from Memphis Tennessee where he started his career in fire and rescue. He is a husband and father of two. Andrew is a huge nerd, movie buff, loves collecting action figures and vintage video games. Andrew is happy to be a part the peer support team and is looking forward to working with members of the Fauquier County Fire and Rescue system to support mental health.

Matt Demaree

Matt has over 30 years of experience in the technology and service industries, and has successfully led HTDNET, LLC, a computer consulting service company, as CEO since its inception in 1994. He specializes in network security, infrastructure design, and disaster recovery, and has developed strategies that help businesses enhance their technology and improve operational efficiency. His leadership extends to overseeing VoIP services, cloud backups, and creating reseller partnerships. Prior to founding HTDNET, Matt held prominent roles at Novant Health, Terremark, and Verizon, where he managed IT systems, security platforms, and technical teams across multiple locations and countries.
He served in the U.S. Army twice, initially between 1999-2003 and recalled for active duty 2005-2007 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He served with the 1st Airborne Ranger Battalion, 1st Battalion 5th Calvary, and 1st Squadron 167th Reconnaissance Surveillance and Target Acquisition. Trained as a mortarman (11C) as his primary military occupation specialty (MOS) his secondary MOS is a Forward Observer (13F).
In addition to his technology and military careers, Matt is an active volunteer member of the fire service with New Baltimore Volunteer Fire and Rescue, drawing on his experiences in the U.S. Army and his deep commitment to community service. He has been involved in Fauquier Fire since 2004 and he joined the Fire Rescue Peer Support Team in March of 2024.
Matt is married to Ashley, and together they are the proud parents of their daughter, Savannah. They have three dogs, Molly, Buddy, and Delta. Balancing his professional achievements with a strong family foundation, Matt remains dedicated to his career and his volunteer services to the community.
